Simple Grilled prawn recipe for quick but special week night dinner.
Ingredients
8 large Tiger Prawns
4 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
2 Sticks of unsalted butter, softened.
2 tbs chopped parsley
1 Lemon sliced
1 Lemon zested
1/2 lemon juiced. (reserve the other half for serving)
Salt and pepper to taste
How to
Pre-heat the oven to 350F or 180C then switch to Grill setting
Move the rack to the top
Line the baking tray with foil (for those of us too lazy to clean the pan, if not, grease the pan with olive oil.
Place sliced lemon or lime
In a bowl, mix butter, garlic, parsley, lemon zest, salt and pepper.
Butterfly the prawns and spoon the butter mixture into the center.
Lay the prepared prawns, butter side up on the baking tray.
Pour juice of 1/2 lemon/ or 1 lime onto the prawns.
Grill for about 10 minutes or until the flesh of the prawns puff up and no longer transparent.
Remove from Grill and place on warm serving plate, spoon melted butter and grilled lemon on the prawns.
Serve hot with mashed potatoes, bread or simple pasta and salad, add the left over lemon/lime juice as needed.
